โปรดกระหมอมใหสงพระราชสาสนแสดงความยนดไปยงสมเดจพระเจาชาลสท ๓ แหงสหราชอาณาจกร ในโอกาสทเสดจขนครองราชย ์
เมื่อวันเสาร์ ที่ ๑๐ กันยายน พุทธศักราช ๒๕๖๕ ความว่า
“Your Majesty,
As we remain in thankful remembrance of the invaluable legacies of Her Majesty Queen
Elizabeth II, I wish to offer, on behalf of the people of Thailand, our warmest felicitations and best wishes to
Your Majesty on your accession as King Charles Ill of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Your Majesty is much admired across the world for your deeply held convictions, for your
leadership by example, and for your consequential role over so many decades promoting causes
essential to the common good of all. The Prince’s Trust, which till now touched the lives of over a million
youths in dire need of support as well as your tireless work on conservation and climate change, are those
that truly stand out among the many causes Your Majesty espouses.
Your Majesty and I are similarly blessed, each having as our own guiding light a wealth of legacies
from our sovereign predecessors: hence, our firm pledges upon accession to follow the paths so well drawn
up in their legacies.
I’m especially pleased to see how well Thailand and Great Britain have always kept vigorous and
strong the close ties of friendship not only between our countries and peoples, but also between our Royal
Families. Indeed, still warmly recalled by all in Thailand was Your Majesty’s visit in 1988, then as the Prince
of Wales, bringing well-wishes for my beloved father, His late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej during his 60
th
birthday anniversary celebrations.
May we wish you, Your Majesty, a long, glorious and gracious reign.
